Support for Israel Controversy
In October 2023, Noah came under scrutiny by some fans when he posted on Instagram in support of Israel. This backlash increased in November of that same year when his support extended to showcasing stickers reading 'Zionism is Sexy' and 'Hamas is ISIS'. This latter event subsequently lead to many fans within the Byler community in particular denouncing their support for him,[1] and lead to several advocating for a boycott of Season 5 of Stranger Things.
In January 2024, Noah released a video addressing his previous posts and actions.[2] It was poorly received by many fans, who felt it was insincere, lacked a substantial apology, and was only being put out because the final season of Stranger Things had just started production.[3]
