Yuck. Not my cup of tea. Kirk dies after drinking Spock’s blood. There’s more to it than that of course. Just before their planned trip to Vulcan and their bonding ceremony, they are ordered to investigate the possible admission of a planet into the UFP. Kirk gets ensorcelled by their vampire queen and turned into a vampire himself. Not that it’s badly written, far from it, but I hated it anyway. I kept hoping that at least the author would’ve found (if she’d wanted to) a way out of Kirk’s predicament, but she didn’t. And then to die because he drank Spock’s blood. Ugh.[1]
