Night Terrace is an original time travel audio comedy made in Australia.

There are two seasons (or series) of eight half-hour episodes available[1], and a third is currently in (delayed) production[2]. There are also three mini-series, a 45-minute live special and a half-hour behind-the-scenes documentary.

The series is produced by Splendid Chaps Productions.

Fandom inspiration

It exists in that surreal subspace between Doctor Who and Neighbours with a dash of Hitchhikers, Men in Black and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. in there somewhere. It’s funny and it’s good SF and even good social commentary. And VERY Melbourne.[3]

Neil Gaiman

Premise

Professor Anastasia Black's retirement is cut short when her house starts travelling mysteriously through time and space - taking her and Eddie Jones along for the ride. They visit alien worlds, the distant past and the far future, forever wondering if they will ever find a way home, followed wherever they go by a mysterious woman known only as..."Sue".[4]

Crowd funding

Funding for production has been obtained via Kickstarter crowd-funding campaigns. The first season of 8 episodes funded on Kickstarter and released in 2014. It was released to Kickstarter backers on 13 October 2014 and then on general release 23 October 2014.[5]

Season 3 was launched on Kickstarter on 24 October 2019 but has faced production delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
