Nigel/Adam Raki or Spacedogs, is a crossover pairing between Nigel (Mads Mikkelsen) from Charlie Countryman (2013 movie) and Adam Raki (Hugh Dancy) from Adam (2009 movie). This pairing was originally conceived by several Fannibals on Tumblr. It's one of the most popular crossover pairings of Hannibal Extended Universe. The name Spacedogs, or Spacedogs AU, is because of the character Adam's love for space in his movie, and Nigel's dachshund shirt in Charlie Countryman.

I think they are actually perfect for each other. They are both painfully straightforward. Both don't fit the conventional norms and want to be accepted. Nigel needs to adore someone who would be loyal to him, Adam wants to be adored and have That One Person who would take care of him. Nigel is possessive and obsessive as hell, Adam needs someone who will love him enough to listen to him for hours without getting annoyed with him, someone who'd make him a priority. Nigel is violently protective, Adam has vulnerability that would fit well with it because no one would dare to hurt or insult him. Nigel is ready to focus on his partner entirely, Adam needs to be focused on.K_S_Morgan [1]
I think the appeal for spacedogs stems from the fact that despite being polar opposites from their Hannibal counterparts, they are still the same at their core. Mads character is still a killer even if he's not a gentleman. And Hugh still avoids human interaction and finds solitude easier.
Plus it makes the most sense out of all the crack ships. Nigel is incredibly blunt. Whether it's killing someone or blatantly flirting he simply doesn't do subtle. This pairs well with Adam's inability to understand people unless they are direct with him.
