The CaddyWhackers are a Forever Knight faction of devoted fans of Nick Knight's car, a green 1962 Cadillac convertible. The faction is a real one, with a small but devoted membership.
A running joke among CaddyWhackers has it that the Caddy is Nick's One True Love. ("Mortal or Immortal beloveds. Nick's True Love is one of Inanimate Love.")[1]

The Actual Cadillac
There were actually two 1961 Cadillac convertibles[1] used during the filming of Forever Knight. As the show became more popular a second was purchased, stripped down, and restored to look exactly like the original. After that, the original Caddy was used primarily for driving sequences, and the second (more recently restored, and hence more pristine) one was used primarily for close up shots.
After the show ended, the second Caddy was purchased in April 1996 by Rondell Scott Hedrick of Raleigh, NC. The other car was purchased by Brock Joliffe, the special effects designer for the second and third season of the show. However, on 14 July 2006, he sold it to a Forever Knight fan, Nancy Davis (a/k/a KnightWitch).
Since that time, Nancy's .sig to posts on FORKNI-L has often included the line "CaddyWhacker, first and foremost. AND NOW I CAN PROVE IT!!!!!!!!"[2]
KnickKnack CaddyWhacks
As the faction evolved, some fans felt that a more general name would be preferable, since there are also fans of other props on the show. They therefore expanded the faction's premise and redubbed it the NickKnack CaddyWhacks. This is therefore the affiliation name for fans of Nick's '62 Cadillac and/or other inanimate objects from Forever Knight.
As the faction website puts it:
There are several aspects to CaddyWhack-dom.
- CaddyWhack -- a fan of the Caddy
- NickKnack -- fan of Nick's and other "stuff"
and members of what is jokingly called "AutoErotica" -- those who think Nick is already with his One True Love.
NickKnacks may like Nick's "evil pink shirt" from the episode Games Vampires Play, his multi-purpose remote control, his motorcycle, his mostly empty fridge, his dragon statue (over the mantel), his cactus (undead? you decide) -- or how about Schanke's duck lamp or LaCroix's sword pin?
It should be noted, though, that the earlier name "CaddyWhackers" is the one most commonly found in lists of factions.
Fan Merchandise
"Vampire in Trunk" (VIT) is sort of a motto of the CaddyWhacks. At one time it was possible to get a bumper sticker with this on it.[4]
Faction Icon
In 2012, Greer Watson created icons for the CaddyWhackers and NickKnack CaddyWhacks as part of her project to create a set of icons for all the Forever Knight factions.
The design of the CaddyWhackers icon composits a screencap of Nick's car with a picture of an Ontario licence plate with the number used in the show, 35H MV6. The sea green background matches the colour of the car.
The design of the NickKnack CaddyWhack icon composits screencaps of four props from the show: Nick's car, a coaster from the Raven nightclub, the jade cup from the series premiere, and the papier-maché caterpillar from the episode, "Curiouser and Curiouser".
