Nouis is the ship name for One Direction members Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan. It is the least popular in-band pairing for both Louis and Niall.[1] It is often used as a background pairing or on route to other endgame pairings, or as part of OT5.
Tumblr user cactiall explains:
alas, i think the reason for it’s smallness is that it’s a little quieter. louis and niall are both very loud people, but with each other, they can be very soft and quiet and i think that can give the impression to some people that it isn’t as Much or isn’t as #real as others. naturally, i would argue, by virtue of this quietness, it is more Muchly and #real, but you know.[2]
