Fandom
The fandom got off to a hot start with this new show, many already being fans of the NCIS franchise and orphans of good female characters. So it was to be expected that fanfictions focused on these women would be the first to be published. Which also led to a large number of f/f much in fact by the canon sapphic couple Lucy Tara/Kate Whistler, having a total of 142 works out of a total of 166 focused on the ship. Followed by fanfics of the fanon pairing Jane Tennant/Kate Whistler.
Crossovers
The main crossovers at the moment – February 2021 – are with NCIS: Los Angeles, followed by FBI, Supergirl, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Sea Patrol, FBI: Most Wanted and NCIS.
Many fans of the franchise said they would like to canonically see characters from the other shows include NCIS may pop up in this spin-off, and many of them stated they'd love to see Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) return to this Universe.

Notes
- ^ The ʻokina, also called by several other names, is a letter used within the Latin script to mark the phonemic glottal stop, in many Polynesian languages.
The ʻokina is treated as a separate letter in the Hawaiian alphabet. It is unicameral—that is, it does not have separate uppercase (capital or majuscule) and lowercase (small or minuscule) forms—unlike the other letters, all of which are basic Latin letters. For words that begin with an ʻokina, capitalization rules affect the next letter instead: for instance, at the beginning of a sentence, the name of the letter is written "ʻOkina", with a capital O.
The ʻokina visually resembles a left single quotation mark (‘)—a small "6"-shaped mark above the baseline. The Tahitian ʻeta has a distinct shape, like an ʻokina turned 90° or more clockwise.
