Fandom History
I did what I thought was a one-time attempt at art illustrating a scene from "Sunshine III", a Phelpscest story I really loved, as a gift to the author, anal_cram_ink. It got such an enthusiastic response from the small circle of twincest fans who saw it that I was encouraged to do more. I'd been toying with the idea of trying my hand at some HP fanart for a while, but once I started doing the Phelps twincest art, I found my niche. I really don't consider myself an active participant in the fanartist community, since I have done very little HP pieces, (two Fred/George things is the extent of it!). I haven't introduced my twincest artwork anywhere else but my LJ, gay_fanart, and here at twinspiration. I'd like to find out what the fanart comm thinks of RPS fanart, though, because I don't see too much of it around. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places.[...]
I've done a few non-slashy illustrations of James/Oliver and Fred/George for the website Twice As Nice in the past, but for the most part I've largely concentrated on RPS twincest scenarios featuring James and Oliver Phelps. I'm quite obsessed with them, so it's the obvious outlet. But I've done two Fred/George twincest pieces, and liked the freedom of not having to worry about realistically matching a real person's features, especially in a forum where viewers know their faces so well that they'll expect to be able to recognise each twin. You all know the subtle differences between James and Oliver's faces, so I gotta make sure I get them down right. I DO hope to do more Fred/George again soon, though.
