Moonlight Express is a gen 34-page novel by Bruce R. Jividen. It won a 1996 FanQ. It has a prequel, Serenade.
From the publisher, "This is Bruce's first STARMAN story, the first draft of which was written in 1987 when STARMAN was still on the air. It lingered with no-one to appreciate it until 1989 when Bruce discovered SSI. In 1995 he decided to bust this tale out and freshen it up. He later envisioned a "prequel" to the story, called 'Legend', that eventually grew into the novel Serenade."
