A Mii is a customisable avatar character found on Nintendo consoles, starting with the Wii. The wide variety of customisation options lead to owners creating whole hosts of fictional characters and real life people.

Games like Tomodachi Life expanded on this, by allowing gamers to drop a whole load of Mii's on an island, and having them experience often strange and bizarre scenarios. This lead to shitpost level content for Mii versions of popular fandom characters.

Some Miis are more well known than others, such as Matt. The Miis Alice and Anne (previously NPCs in the Wii Sports and Wii Party games) gained notoriety in 2025, when the release of the reveal trailer for Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream led to the rise of the Alice/Anne ship.
