Megrez is a slash Quantum Leap 159-page fiction anthology that was never published.
It was to have a focus of Al. The editor was Gena S. Durrell.
Although it had accepted pre-paid orders and had several contributors (including a story by J.R.), this zine only had six issues printed. The editor planned to use the profits from these six issues to fund future printing of more. This plan fizzled.
This zine, and the letterzine QWIFFS, likely folded due to conflict and communication between Durrell J.R., and Leah S, as well as Durrell's erratic dealings with fandom.
Also see Proposed Zines for other examples of zines that did not make it off the ground.
About the Contents
From a submission request: "An Al zine, with the emphasis on slash and the relationship with Sam. Quality stories about Al, what makes him tick, his work on the Project, past, present, and future."
From an ad: "A zine celebrating Admiral Calavicci and the love Sam and Al share."
It's possible that two stories by Leah S., a 3-page story called "The Promised Leap" and a 2-page story called "One for the Road" were to have been in this zine.
