Megatron/Rung, known mostly as MegaRung, is a rarepair in the Transformers fandom. It pairs Megatron and Rung. While Megatron's one of the most popular and central characters in the franchise, Rung only appears in the Transformers Generation One IDW Comics. It is one of Rung's most popular pairings, but trails far behind several other Megatron pairings in terms of popularity.
Common Tropes & Fanon
- Opposites Attract: Somewhat. Many fanworks involve the dichotomy between them, with Megatron being infamous all around Cybertron while Rung's completely unheard of and otherwise forgotten, for example. Rung is also (technically) Primus, who created Cybertron, while Megatron doesn't believe he ever existed, further making them opposites, or at least a very dramatic Odd Couple.
- Size Difference: Rung's much smaller than Megatron.
