Megatron/Rung, known mostly as MegaRung, is the pairing of Megatron and Rung from the Transformers franchise. The vast majority of fanworks of them in relationship comes from the Transformers Generation One IDW Comics side of the fandom specifically.
Common Tropes & Fanon
- Opposites Attract: Somewhat. Many fanworks involve the dichotomy between them, with Megatron being infamous all around Cybertron while Rung's completely unheard of and otherwise forgotten, for example. Rung is also (technically) Primus, who created Cybertron, while Megatron doesn't believe he ever existed, further making them opposites, or at least a very dramatic Odd Couple.
- Size Difference: Rung's much smaller than Megatron.
- Banners from the Turrets, a series which helped popularize the ship, also added Starscream to the mix to make a polycule: Megatron/Starscream/Rung.
