Mathom House was a cottage company publisher owned and run by Bjo Trimble; it was set up in 1969 in order to publish the first version of The Star Trek Concordance[1]. It also published the Star Trek Concordance Color Book and the 3rd season supplement to the Concordance.
A 1974 description:
There is NO official connection between EQUICON 74 and Mathom House Enterprises. Second, MHE is merely a fancy name to get better service from the Post Office, and a few extra bits of attention when we deal with businesses. Lastly, Mathom House is the name of the Trimble home -- it's a joke from J.R.R. Tolkien's books -- and is NOT A BUSINESS but a "cottage industry" of amateur publishing. MATHOM HOUSE does not sell any other Star Trek items than the Star Trek Concordance of People, Places & Things, the Third Season Supplement, and the Star Trek Concordance Color Book #1 -- with a 4th Season Supplement on the animated series coming out soon.
