Writestuff's Warrior's Heart sequence is now novels long, and she's revised the story order a few times. But, in order of being written, Master and Apprentice was second (it has now been demoted to 10th); and it contained the starting point of the whole story arc which, for me, was beautifully concluded in Emancipation. Both stories share an understanding of the freedoms and limitations of a relationship between not-equals, given a physical representation in some of the hottest sex ever written for TPM. Writestuff understands perfectly that the most erotic writing is, in fact, an exploration of character. [...]

The version now in the MA archive has been slightly revised to fit into its new place in the series, but even so it reads beautifully on its own. Don't let it tempt you into jumping to Emancipation if you haven't read the series before, though; you've got to do all the ones inbetween :) Emancipation contains the full list in internal chronological order.
