Statement from the Indexer
This index is as complete and as accurate as I could make it, listing published Man From U.N.C.L.E. fan fiction. Filks, poems, and cartoons are so noted and interfiled in the body of the index, as are cross-universe stories which are also individually listed by crossed show in a separate section. If I have omitted anything, it was purely unintentional and if you send me additions and/or corrections, I will incorporate them in an update. I plan to periodically update this index, making it an ongoing venture, much like the famous and excellent TrekIndex. Photocopies of Contents pages are quite helpful if you can send them. I would like confirmation of a story called "The Blue Curtain Affair" by Patricia Munson, published in 1975. No one I know has actually seen it. I do not know if it was published individually or in a zine of another name. I have also heard rumors about something called "Rites Of The Full Moon" and yet another "Final Affair." More information about these will be greatly appreciated.
[snipped]
I got much of my information secondhand and do not have zine information for many of the entries (just photocopies of the stories), ie. date of publication, address, and availability. With no workable method for confirming current addresses, etc., I decided to omit this section, rather than give out misinformation. The purpose of this index is to inform new and veteran UNCLE fans as to what has been published, to use as a guide or collecting like a checklist of sorts, and to see for myself just how much UNCLE stories have been written. As evidenced by the following pages, there is plenty, and growing more plentiful by the month. Used copies of out-of-print zines are often available at conventions and periodic zine auctions provide another source of these zines.
