Madlori is a multifandom fan writer, formerly known as Lori in Harry Potter fandom, where she wrote the popular epic The Paradigm of Uncertainty, and is currently active in several other fandoms.
I'm a longtime fanfic author who's been in and out of many fandoms for over twenty years!– AO3 profile
Fandom History
My first real fandom was Trek. I got into Trek at age 13 when TNG started, and I attended my first convention (in the company of my pastor, who got me into the whole Trek thing) in 1988. This was before the Net, of course, when conventions were the only way to meet other fans and get fanfic in the form of fanzines (a dying art, to be sure). My first Internet fandom was Doctor Who. I was very active there for several years in the mid-90's. Then I came back to Trek with DS9 and Voyager. I was moderately active in XF and Buffy fandoms, but it wasn't until HP hit me that I really got involved in a serious way again.– Mad Lori LiveJournal post [1]
Sherlock
Lori is a particularly influential member of the BBC Sherlock community. She has written multiple well-known fics, especially Alone on the Water, a John/Sherlock deathfic which has become one of the Sherlock fandom's most well-known pieces, and Performance in a Leading Role, a John/Sherlock Hollywood AU.
