Métamorphose was a Harry Potter archive for fanfiction about the character Nymphadora Tonks. It was founded in 2004 by Lady Emma with the slogan "All Tonks. All the time." By October 2005, the archive held 130 stories and had 176 registered authors.[1]
It permitted both het and femslash Tonks pairings as well as gen Tonks fics and stories in which Tonks is not the main character. The site divided the fanfiction into ten categories:
- Just Tonks
- Tonks/Remus
- Tonks/Harry
- Tonks/Snape
- Tonks/Ginny
- Tonks/Sirius
- Tonks/Charlie
- Tonks/Hermione
- Tonks/Other
- Minor Tonks
Though most fics in the pairing categories were shippy, stories involving the characters' platonic relationship were also permitted. As of October 2005, the Tonks/Remus category had was the most popular by far with 57 fics, with the Tonks/Snape category a distant second with 12 fics.[1] Many of the stories in the "Tonks/Other" category featured either Bill/Tonks or Kingsley/Tonks.[2]
