Luz Noceda is the main protagonist of The Owl House.
Canon
At the start of the series. Luz is a geeky, fantasy-loving 14-year-old girl from Connecticut who, after one too many failed attempts at showing off her passions at school, is sent to a summer camp in an attempt to make her more normal. Instead of going to the camp, however, she stumbles through a portal to a magical realm known as the Boiling Isles. She's soon taken in by Eda Clawthorne, a powerful witch and wanted criminal, and her tiny roommate King.
Luz decides to stay in the Boiling Isles, and trains to become a witch, facing obstacles and making friends along the way. She forms especially close bonds with Willow Park, Gus Porter, and Amity Blight (with Luz eventually dating the latter).
