Morning, sunshine. You were having a nice little dream there, weren't you? Not gonna lie, it was kind of adorable.
— Wanderer to Lumine in Summertide Scales and Tales: Page III, “Until the End of the World.”
Lumine/Scaramouche is a het pairing in the Genshin Impact fandom.
Canon
Lumine is the female version of the Traveler player character in the game. Scaramouche is an antagonistic member of the Fatui Harbingers who later becomes a playable character.
Unreconciled Stars
Scaramouche and Lumine meet for the first time during the limited time event story, Unreconciled Stars Act II "The Crisis Deepens" , Scaramouche first appears as "???", and he introduced himself as a "vagrant from Inazuma." Upon meeting him, Lumine seems intrigued by his unique clothing choices, and Scaramouche expresses interest in her identity as the "Honorary Knight of the Knights of Favonius". Scaramouche has a curious and pleasant demeanor as the group speak briefly about the strange meteorites. He departs when he realizes the Millelith are approaching.
The next time he returns, Scaramouche greets Lumine, Fischl, and Mona. As he greets them, he asks them if he can 'join' their conversation, although Mona, who realized his intentions, acts quickly and teleports herself, as well as the rest of the group, away from him. It is then that Scaramouche's true identity is revealed: The Sixth of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers, The Balladeer. His true intention was to strike down Lumine and he expresses disappointment at being stopped after coming so close to his goal. The pleasant personality from earlier is also revealed to be a farce, as he is shown to be cruel to his subordinates, and is just pretending to be a simple traveller from Inazuma.
Later, Scaramouche and Lumine meet once again on Musk Reef, where he has just pulled himself out of the dream caused by touching a meteorite. He proclaims that his "research is finished" causing Lumine to go on guard, and he tells her to relax as he's done playing for today, and will come for her when he's ready. Eventually, Scaramouche departs with an impudent farewell.
Archon Quests
Delusion Factory
In Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals, Lumine's friend Teppei is killed by the after effects of using a Delusion. This causes her to become mad at the Fatui who orchestrated this outcome, and in a search for revenge decides to destroy the Delusion factory.
In the factory, Lumine discovers that Scaramouche is the one helping the manufacturing of Delusions. Scaramouche remarks how she looks like she wants him dead. He claims to only be following orders, and taunts her by telling her to go find the real mastermind. He also says how she's getting worked up over nothing, and questions her strength, remarking how she's changed and grown weak. Scaramouche expresses no respect for human life, and no regret for cutting lives short through the distribution of Delusions. All this together enrages Lumine.
When Scaramouche mocks Teppei and the soldiers as a whole, calling them weak, Lumine shoots back her own angry remarks and finally moves forward to approach him when she is suddenly affected by the domain and starts to collapse. Scaramouche laughs upon seeing this, telling her to embrace the anger, and that the factory feeds on her anger. He starts slowly walking closer to her. Right before she blacks out, Lumine sees Yae Miko approach Scaramouche.
At the end of this Inazuma Archon Quest Act, Lumine learns from Yae Miko that in order to save her from Scaramouche, Yae Miko handed over Ei's Electro Gnosis. Lumine also learns from her that Scaramouche is a prototype puppet created by Raiden Ei as only a test and a proof of the concept of the creation of indestructible, Gnosis-bearing puppet. With his creation accomplished and succeeded, the original plan was for Ei to simply discard him. However, Ei decided not to intervene in his fate, and in the end, she chose only to seal the power within him and set him free after leaving him in a slumbering state in Shakkei Pavilion. After awakening, he wandered Inazuma as an ordinary human male, with his own consciousness, until the Fatui took interest on him. Fatui Harbinger Il Dottore made some adjustments to the prototype, not only unsealing his power, but very likely rendering him even more formidable than his original specifications, and the object of divine creation after that he became known as "The Balladeer".
The First Connection to Consciousness
In Archon Quest Chapter III: Act III - Dreams, Emptiness, Deception, Lumine runs into Haypasia, who has appeared to have maintained a connection with the divine. When Lumine connects to Haypasia's consciousness, she discovers to her horror that the divine figure Haypasia has contacted is actually Scaramouche.
During this connection, Lumine learns about Scaramouche's past. He was betrayed three times by those close to him: his mother, his friend, and his hope for the future. After these betrayals, Scaramouche learned to loathe gods and to not trust humans. He denounced his past and named himself Kunikuzushi (meaning country destroyer in Japanese), swearing to scrub himself of emotion and become a blank slate to eventually hold the Gnosis he now possesses. In the end, Scaramouche threatens to take over Sumeru.
After exiting Pardis Dhyai, Nahida who is inhabiting Katheryne's body becomes injured, and transports her consciousness into Lumine's body. When this happens, Lumine briefly inhabits Nahida's body and sees the creation of Shouki no Kami, Scaramouche's god form.
The Second Connection to Consciousness
In Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises, Lumine comes across Haypasia once again, who is sleeping in Pardis Dhyai. She touches Haypasia to make sure she is okay, and this physical contact establishes a connection with Scaramouche. He appears with a nonphysical form, taunting Lumine who is shocked to see him and is instantly on guard. Paimon is not able to see Scaramouche, so this is a conversation between him and Lumine alone. Scaramouche remarks how he missed the look of abject horror that appears on her face every time they meet, and says he can hear all her thoughts. He says that he sensed Lumine's touch, and decided to enter Haypasia's consciousness at that very moment. When Lumine asks why, he says "to observe her on a fool's errand". Scaramouche tells her that even if she manages to rescue Nahida, she won't be able to defeat him. Lumine is shocked that the creation of a new god happened quicker than she thought.
Lumine then asks Scaramouche why he is acting more friendly than usual to her, to which he responds that it's because he is in a good mood. She asks if he is truly okay with all this, and that the plan is very risky. She says that even if he manages to fully become a god, he might not fully remain himself, and asks if he'd still want to become a god if it meant losing himself. In response, Scaramouche says that her words almost make her seem like a friend who actually cares, but that she is wrong because he was born to be a god. He says that his past memories and feelings are senseless drivel that should have been erased long ago. He then asks Lumine what this world has done for her to protect it with such conviction, and she responds saying he wouldn't understand. Scaramouche advises her to let go of her misguided guardian complex, and that she does not know the truth. He says it would be better for her and others, as humans can only find bliss in ignorance.
Scaramouche expresses to Lumine how Haypasia is useful as his first follower, and that eventually he will reach the throne of divinity. Lumine responds with doubt, which he notices, but then brushes off, saying she will eventually understand what kind of authority she is challenging. Lumine attempts to cause conflict by telling Scaramouche that Dottore is trying to harm his first follower. To this, Scaramouche tells her she is not good at sowing discord, and that a few words won't convince him to destroy Dottore.
Scaramouche says that he is willing to give Lumine a gift, telling her she is honored to be able to speak to him like this and that she will be rewarded. He says that both good and bad things can be considered gifts, and that gods have never needed to be reasonable. With this, he disappears, using the Gnosis to change the weather to thunder.
Battling Shouki no Kami
In Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises, Lumine approaches Scaramouche in his Shouki no Kami form. When he spews cruel words at Paimon for interrupting his conversation with Nahida, Lumine remarks how he is still the same Balladeer they know. Scaramouche then proposes a fight, to which Lumine steps up and battles with his divine form. She attempts to remove the Electro Gnosis from him, but is pushed back and then hit into the ground by Scaramouche. He then picks up Nahida and attempts to take her Dendro Gnosis from her, but Nahida reveals that they are actually in the 168th samsara cycle. Thanks to Nahida's power, the two secretly infiltrate Scaramouche's consciousness and try to defeat him over and over again. The battle results in Lumine's loss for 168 times, all of which will be registered by Nahida and shared with the people of Sumeru in hopes of finding a new strategy to beat the Harbinger. Their final showdown takes place in reality. Lumine, thanks to the wisdom she's gained with every single loss and with the help of the people of Sumeru, is able to evade Scaramouche's attacks, serving only to make him angrier.
In the end, Lumine is able to defeat Scaramouche. Nahida confiscates the Electro Gnosis from him. He falls out of Shouki no Kami, landing on the ground as Lumine watches.
Interlude Chapter: Inversion of Genesis
In Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act III - Inversion of Genesis, Lumine comes across two people who are talking about the events of Tatarasuna 400 years ago, and they mention a mysterious kabukimono who was apparently not a human but a puppet. Lumine realizes this must have been Scaramouche. When talking with Paimon, they see Scaramouche, who is supposed to be locked up, walking through the streets of Sumeru. In response to this, they visit Nahida and see him there. Nahida explains that Scaramouche is doing some investigation for her. He asks Lumine if killing him is the only thing she can think about. Paimon responds that Nahida said he still has some mysteries left, and Scaramouche replies by asking Lumine if she would finish the job and kill him if it were up to her, and remarks that if so, he was wrong in thinking she might have been getting cold feet. Lumine does not have a response to this.
When Lumine learns Scaramouche is no longer a Harbinger following his recent losses, she bluntly remarks how Dottore tossed him out like trash. Scaramouche talks about how most human relationships are transactional, and how as long as one has value, they will not be abandoned. He then admits that after the recent events, he is not quite what he used to be, to which Lumine does not show sympathy, sardonically saying what a crying shame it is.
Nahida proposes that Scaramouche join forces with them, and decides to do a test run in order to see how well they all manage to cooperate. Lumine sees him as untrustworthy, but ends up agreeing to accompany him inside Irminsul. After being transported to Irminsul, Scaramouche snarkily comments on how quickly Lumine has caught up with him, and Lumine in response tells him that she's here to babysit him upon Nahida's request. He says how he understands that prisoners get harassed by guards, but he's on temporary release, and thus they should back off a little. They propose a truce while they are in Irminsul to work together. Scaramouche says that he'll be in the front, and that Lumine should keep her "pretty eyes" open and try not to fall behind. At the snarky remarks, Lumine tells him to stop and to focus on his job. They stick close together during their brief travels inside Irminsul. During this process, Lumine notes how Scaramouche does not put up resistance, acting quite obediently, and is good at working on the front line. She wonders if this is the type of role he had in the Fatui, and thinks about how he is a strange individual.
When Scaramouche connects to the center of Irminsul, Lumine has a telepathic conversation with Nahida and Paimon, excluding Scaramouche. He realizes this and is upset, saying how it must be a riveting conversation they are having, and that the best ones always happen when he is not involved. He also realizes that he is the subject of said conversation. Lumine in response tells him that they have every right to keep certain things confidential. Scaramouche agrees, saying how they can't have their prisoner knowing too much.
Scaramouche mentions that Lumine and her twin brother Aether came from outside this world, and when asked how he knows this, says how it would be more odd if he did not know, considering Lumine is world famous and that they have met before. Lumine expresses surprise that his attitude is better than she expected, and Scaramouche says that he can manage keeping the peace right now so as to not cause more misery for himself.
From Irminsul, Scaramouche learns that his friend Niwa, whom he believed had betrayed him, was actually loyal to him in the end. Instead, it was Dottore who crafted this betrayal. Lumine gives him some space to process the complex emotions this causes him. After listening to Nahida explain the situation, Lumine understands how this specific perceived betrayal was his reasoning for pursuing revenge on the Raiden Gokaden, and that being betrayed by a close friend must cause great resentment. Along with this, however, she also remarks how this does not mean vengeance was the correct answer.
Lumine finally checks on Scaramouche, who wears a dangerous expression, and he asks if she’s worried about him. He says that if they did not have the history they did, he’d almost think it qualifies him to be her friend. Lumine does not react to this beyond making sure this setback will not affect the plan.
Scaramouche does not find any information on Descenders in Irminsul, but offers Lumine information of his own regarding her brother. He says she is free to decide whether to believe him, but that he would not lie about something like this.
After confirming the mission is completed, Scaramouche decides to take some time for himself contrary to the original plan, forming a shield around himself, Lumine, and Paimon. He asks Lumine to answer a question for him in return for him giving her a secret of his own. Scaramouche takes her hand in his to establish a telepathic connection. She is suspicious of his motives, asking if he is trying to brainwash her, but he denies this, saying he does not have the power to do more than talk with her. Using this connection, Scaramouche asks Lumine if there is a way to change the past in this world, and though she does not respond, her shock at the question coupled with her hesitation to answer tells him there is. Lumine is unable to do anything as Scaramouche erases his existence from Irminsul, and he states that those who died in Tatarasuna because of him deserve another chance at life.
After the effects of Scaramouche’s stunt have manifested, the world has forgotten about Scaramouche's existence, with the sole exception being Lumine who still remembers everything. She travels around Inazuma and discovers that although Scaramouche attempted to remove himself to save those unjustly killed, his actions were for nothing as the people he tried to save still died, just in different ways. She visits Nahida and tells her what she remembers, and when asked what kind of person Scaramouche is, Lumine finds it hard to answer as she was enemies with him, thus as a result doesn’t know his perspective or reasoning on the matter.
Later, Lumine goes to the Grand Bazaar to clear her head. She remembers Greater Lord Rukkhadevata saying no one can fully erase themselves from existence, not even her. Just as she is starting to wonder what happened to Scaramouche. Lumine's eyes widened when she saw him at a fruit stand though he seems different. His clothing has changed, and he is no longer snarky and rude but rather sincere and kind.
Lumine follows as he leaves the city to find new sunsettias, and she remarks internally that if she wasn’t seeing this with her own eyes, she wouldn’t believe it. But Wanderer noticed. During this time, the Wanderer does not recognize Lumine. He asks Lumine if she needs something from him, as she has been following him from the city. She replies that she knows him even if he has no recollection, and backs this claim up by saying she knows that he is a puppet. She takes him to visit Nahida, who asks why he refers to himself as a wanderer, to which he replies that it sounds like a plant without roots, which is relevant to him. When Wanderer asks what he was like in his “past incarnation” as Nahida calls it, everyone struggles to respond, causing him to realize he was not the best person before, but still asks to be told the truth as truth is important to him.
Throughout this time, Lumine listens intently and does not act in a hostile manner towards Wanderer. She tells him that they were enemies before, and when he asks why she is helping him in that case, she does not have a response. Lumine supervises Wanderer as he delves into the physical memories themselves. He is apologetic that she has to tag along, but is also determined to face his past. Later, when Wanderer reclaims all his memories, Shouki no Kami reappears as he is still struggling to comprehend what he has received, Lumine steps up to defend Wanderer from being struck by its blow. Not long after, Lumine is about to be hit by another attack, Wanderer returns the action and defends Lumine from the blow, receiving an Anemo Vision and he defeats what was supposed to be his body as a god, the Shouki no Kami.
Once Shouki no Kami disappears, Lumine tells him that his past will catch up to him, and Wanderer replies by saying she sounds like she’s concerned about him, but not to worry, and that thanks to her, he has seen the truth. Back in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, Wanderer mentions how utility to others is what gives him worth, and when Lumine replies by saying Nahida doesn’t see him like that, he comments on how Lumine is a good guy who is into justice, but he has a different perspective. He then asks Lumine why she went to Inazuma after he wiped himself from Irminsul, and she says it was to see what he changed. After hearing this, he decides he is in debt to her, as she has done him a favor, and he will do everything he can to pay it back. Lumine says in response that she did not do all this for a reward, but he insists that equal transactions are the only nature of relationships, and that he’ll balance the books one day. Lumine remarks how she hopes Wanderer will give Nahida a chance in having him live a new life and moving on, genuine in wanting to see him grow. Wanderer ends up agreeing to listen to Nahida, and vows to help them from behind the scenes. Wanderer also expresses how he should change his name, and allows Lumine to pick one for him, accepting what she gives him. Before he leaves, Wanderer asks Lumine to tell the truth to any remaining Raiden Gokaden descendants, claiming they deserve to know the truth, even if it means they will try to attack him. Lumine agrees, and he says that he likes her no nonsense attitude.
A Parade of Providence
During the limited time event, A Parade of Providence Act I "Comings and Goings", Wanderer is revealed to be representing Vahumana as “Hat Guy” in the Akademiya Extravaganza and Interdarshan Championship event. Lumine is confused why he is participating as he does not seem the type to participate in things like this. When she asks him, he comments on how nosy they are, and asks if they will annoy him to death if he doesn’t reply. He does end up providing an answer, revealing it was ultimately Nahida who made him sign up for the event. Then he tells her to talk with the other contestants instead of him. He says that someone is about to get very unlucky, and asks her to guess who. Lumine has an unimpressed look on her face after this
When Lumine is speaking with Layla, Wanderer appears and joins the conversation, tersely saying how it doesn’t appear like Layla has the resolve to win, and when Layla asks if she said something wrong, Lumine does not respond in a manner that is angry with Wanderer, rather just calmly explaining how it wasn’t Layla’s fault.
When Lumine finds Tighnari in the desert, dehydrated and tired, Wanderer remarks how humans are weak creatures who can’t survive extreme temperature changes. Lumine does not like this and challenges him, but he ends up handing over a container of water.
Summertide Scales and Tales
During the limited time event story "Summertide Scales and Tales: Page III", Lumine and others fall from the Maritime Express, but are saved by Wanderer who catches them on their way down. He places Lumine onto Nilou’s lap. While Lumine is passed out, Wanderer makes a comment about this, saying she is fragile for passing out from a little fall. When Lumine awakes, Wanderer greets her by saying “Morning, sunshine.” Then he states that she must have been having a nice little dream, and that it was even kind of adorable. Lumine does not seem to react specifically to these words, more focused on asking everyone what happened, to which Wanderer explains that she and her friends had fallen down a waterfall, and Lumine had passed out on the way down. He then makes a snide remark that “someone couldn’t keep it together,” referring to Lumine. He tells as if he’s informing her of something she didn’t know that crashing into the ground doesn’t take you to another world, because those things only happen in stupid Inazuman light novels.
When Lumine explains to the others that she heard a voice in her head while being passed out, Wanderer explains that the fog around there had a hallucinatory effect, and that she might have inhaled some while she was freaking out on her way down.
When questioned on why he has a sword on his hip, Wanderer states that he’s had it ever since he woke up in Simulanka, and he’d tried to get rid of it but it would keep reappearing. He mentions that the name is the “Hero’s Sword” and is meant to be wielded by the Hero. He expresses the irony in the fact that of all people, he was the one chosen as the hero. At this Paimon mentions that her and Lumine thought they were the heroes of the story, not Wanderer, and so he offers the title to Lumine, saying she’d be doing him a favor. Lumine, however, declines this offer.
When Wanderer briefly recommends gathering a dragon scale before they depart to slay the dragon, Paimon starts asking a bunch of questions in response. He asks if she’s ever considered keeping her questions to herself because if he answers all of them, they’ll be there until the next Interdarshan Championship. Lumine seems to find this interaction humorous, as she smiles with her eyes closed while Paimon gets annoyed.
Wheel later finds them and comes up to them, exclaiming “Brave hero!” When Lumine looks at Wanderer, since they’ve now figured out he’s the hero, he asks her what she’s looking at him for, and that Wheel was obviously talking to her. Wheel then tells them that he wasn’t hurt because Wanderer had saved him.
While trying to fight Simulanka’s dragon, Lumine and the others fall as the ground crumbles beneath them. Wanderer once again saves them, but express annoyance and asks how many more times he is going to have to save them.
When they try and approach the dragon once more later, at one point Wanderer exclaims at Lumine to be careful, and that if she falls, she’s on her own this time. Then he later tells her that the dragon is getting serious, and to not get hit.
After learning the dragon’s story, and that its name is Durin, Wanderer finds sympathy for him, as the journey of the durin mirrors his own in many ways. He flies up to Durin to rest his hand on his face and empathize with him, as Lumine and the others watch.
Later, along with the others, Wanderer gives Durin his blessing, hopes he finds acceptance in Simulanka, and says that as someone who hopes to be his friend, he wishes him the best in the future. Lumine, who hears this, seems to express her surprise and the fact that she was moved by his words, before giving Durin her own blessing.
After Durin is given a new mini form, he asks Wanderer if he will come along with him, and Wanderer asks why he would do that. When Durin says it is because Wanderer stated he wanted to be friends, Lumine looks at Wanderer with an unimpressed look. Wanderer expresses annoyance, saying that maybe he spoke too soon, and Durin becomes sad at hearing this. Lumine, still unimpressed, tries to chide him for this, and Wanderer ultimately accept Durin’s proposal. Lumine seems happy about this and lightly tells off Paimon for being insensitive about the interaction.
Appendix - Afterword
Lumine, Paimon, and Wanderer, along with Mini Durin, encounter Fischl, who gives them a characteristically grand introduction, calling Lumine an “Outlander” and Wanderer a “hat-wearing servant,” which annoys him. Mini Durin clarifies that Wanderer is his friend, not his servant. Soon, Klee and Albedo arrive. Klee excitedly shares her experiences, and she and Mini Durin realize their mothers were friends, connecting them like siblings, and they happily run off to play with Fischl.
Meanwhile, Albedo brings up a serious topic with Wanderer, sharing a prophecy about Dragonspine's Durin potentially returning to life, which could have serious implications. He asks for Wanderer’s potential assistance should they need it, as he believes Wanderer’s bond with Mini Durin ties their fates together. Wanderer seems reluctant but doesn’t dismiss Albedo’s request outright.
While the others admire a small origami ship, Lumine gently probes Wanderer about his thoughts on Durin’s fate. Wanderer, though dismissive, seems to care more than he admits, subtly hinting at his developing sympathy due to saving Mini Durin. Lumine understands that Wanderer needs time to process and quietly supports him.
As they discuss the boat’s name, Wanderer proposes “The Durin” as a gesture of hope for Mini Durin’s safe journey. Mini Durin, moved, asks Wanderer if he can visit Teyvat, promising to stay close. Though reluctant, Wanderer agrees. The others bids Mini Durin farewell, with promises of reunions, Lumine quietly wishes both Mini Durin and Wanderer to take care, as Wanderer prepares to accompany him on his journey.
Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses
First Gift — Give Her Surprises
In version's 5.1 event Chromatic Ode of Candies and Roses: "First Gift — Give Her Surprises", Sumeru characters prepare for the Sabzeruz festival and plan a birthday surprise for Nahida, their Archon. After the quest, Lumine encounters Wanderer outside the Akademiya during a festival, surprising him as he notes it’s rare for anyone to be here in the midst of such celebrations. When Lumine asks if he plans to join in on the festivities, Wanderer dismisses the idea, saying he doesn’t seem like the type who enjoys holding hands and dancing with others. Instead, he encourages her to go enjoy herself, but requests that she keep his presence a secret. He explains that he prefers to experience the festival in his own solitary way, away from the crowds and noise
Fandom
ScaraLumi, the ship between Scaramouche (now Wanderer) and Lumine, is a ship that has existed since Scaramouche’s initial introduction in the Unreconciled Stars event. What began as a more niche ship among fans saw a massive rise in popularity after the release of the Sumeru Archon Quest and Interlude Chapter in late 2022 and early 2023. These quests gave Scaramouche a more prominent role, providing him with more screen time alongside Lumine. In these moments, shippers noticed interactions that could be interpreted as romantic or flirtatious, which sparked even more interest in their relationship.
A significant reason for the ship’s appeal is the "Enemies to Lovers" dynamic. Lumine openly expresses her dislike and distrust of Scaramouche at various points throughout the story, especially after he betrays her during Unreconciled Stars. However, as the narrative progresses, especially after Scaramouche's transformation into Wanderer, Lumine becomes more understanding and even shows kindness toward him. This slow progression from enemies to something more amicable—and potentially romantic—is a hallmark of their dynamic, one that fans find irresistible. The tension created by their antagonistic beginnings adds emotional depth, setting up a potential reconciliation that fits perfectly into the "Enemies to Lovers" trope.
ScaraLumi is one of the most popular and widely written "Enemies to Lovers" ships within the Genshin Impact fandom. Among fan fiction, fan art, and other fan-made content, ScaraLumi has become a favorite for exploring the complex tension and slow-burn romance that define the trope. The pairing’s popularity continues to grow as the narrative and fan works dive deeper into the characters' evolving relationship, emotional conflicts, and gradual development from antagonists to potential romantic interests. This dynamic has solidified ScaraLumi as a beloved and central pairing in Genshin Impact’s fandom, adding to the depth and diversity of fan interpretations in the community.
Beyond their interactions, another reason for the ship’s popularity is the visual contrast and harmony in their designs. Lumine and Wanderer’s color palettes share similarities, with both featuring blue, black, and white tones, yet they are visually distinct. Lumine’s attire is predominantly white, symbolizing purity and light, while Wanderer’s outfit is darker, filled with deep blues and blacks, representing mystery and shadow. Despite these contrasts, their outfits complement each other in a visually pleasing way. The fact that they share similar colors in their palettes yet maintain stark differences in their eye and hair colors [Lumine’s blonde hair and yellow-golden eyes compared to Wanderer’s dark blue-black hair and indigo eyes] adds to the aesthetic allure of the ship.
ScaraLumi also tends to resonate more strongly with the fanbase compared to Scaraether (the ship between Scaramouche and Aether). One of the key reasons for this is that ScaraLumi fits into the popular heterosexual (het) ship category, which typically attracts a larger fanbase. Additionally, Lumine and Scaramouche are often depicted together in both official and unofficial artwork, fueling fan imagination and interest. Many fan artists and content creators have embraced their dynamic, portraying them in ways that highlight their contrasting personalities and visual designs— whether it’s through angsty scenes, moments of tenderness, or playful flirtation. Fans enjoy the chemistry they share, interpreting these depictions as cute and romantic, further solidifying their popularity.
Another layer to their appeal is the shared traits and similarities in their stories. Both Lumine and Scaramouche have endured significant loss, grappled with their identities, and struggled with loneliness. While their paths diverge — Lumine becoming the Traveler on a quest to find her lost sibling, and Scaramouche wrestling with his past and sense of self — they both carry a certain emotional weight that fans connect with. These parallels in their emotional journeys make the possibility of them finding common ground or solace in each other all the more enticing.
In conclusion, ScaraLumi’s rise to prominence in the fandom is driven by a combination of narrative tension, visual appeal, and the chemistry between the characters. The "Enemies to Lovers" trope, with all its emotional and dramatic potential, is perfectly suited to their relationship, while their shared storylines and contrasting yet complementary designs make them a visually and thematically captivating pair. With the ongoing development of Wanderer’s character and his interactions with Lumine, fans of ScaraLumi continue to look forward to more moments that deepen the connection between them, making this ship one of the most beloved in the Genshin Impact community.
Version 1.1
In Unreconciled Stars, the first meeting between Lumine and Scaramouche sets the stage for the intricate, tension-filled dynamic that many fans have come to adore. When Lumine first encounters Scaramouche, she is initially intrigued by his mysterious and striking appearance. Though their interaction is brief, there’s already a sense of curiosity and interest in him, as she sees him as an enigmatic figure. Lumine works alongside Scaramouche to uncover the mysteries of the event, believing him to be a potential ally, which creates an air of cooperation and camaraderie between them.
However, this sense of trust quickly shatters once Lumine discovers Scaramouche's true identity and realizes that he had been deceiving her all along. Scaramouche had been manipulating events with the intention of betraying her, and this revelation leaves Lumine feeling deeply betrayed. This moment of betrayal is a key point of tension that many shippers latch onto, seeing it as the perfect setup for the classic "Enemies to Lovers" trope. The emotional turmoil stemming from Lumine’s feelings of betrayal, coupled with Scaramouche’s calculated manipulation, creates a rich foundation for future angst and conflict in their relationship.
What heightens the potential of this dynamic is the fact that Scaramouche wasn’t just another villain—he had specifically targeted Lumine, which suggests a level of attention and awareness of her actions and behaviors. By focusing on Lumine, he becomes more attuned to her, even if his initial goal is to bring her down. This deepens the connection between them, albeit in a twisted way, and lays the groundwork for a more personal, emotional conflict.
After realizing his betrayal, Lumine's attitude toward Scaramouche drastically shifts. She now views him as an enemy, harboring resentment and distrust. From Lumine’s perspective, Scaramouche becomes someone she no longer wishes to see—unless it’s to defeat him. Her strong reaction to his betrayal further fuels the tension between them, adding layers of emotional depth and unresolved conflict that shippers find compelling.
In many ways, this moment serves as the first thread in the complex web of their relationship. The betrayal opens up the possibility for future development, whether through grudging respect, lingering feelings, or even eventual reconciliation. The emotional charge from their first meeting sets the tone for a dynamic filled with unresolved tension, passion, and potential redemption, making ScaraLumi a ship brimming with dramatic possibilities for fans to explore.
Version 2.1 and 3.1
In Genshin Impact's Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - "Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises," fans couldn't get enough of the tension-filled exchange between Scaramouche and Lumine. During their telepathic conversation, free from Paimon's presence, the charged atmosphere reached a peak when Scaramouche admitted, “I decided to enter Haypasia's consciousness the moment I sensed your touch.” Lumine, visibly surprised, asked, “But why?” to which Scaramouche responded, “I wanted to observe you on the fool’s errand.” The intensity in this scene, with Scaramouche so close and watching her so intently, had fans buzzing with excitement. Many jokingly reacted with, “Stop observing her—people might actually think you’re in love,” seeing his words as bordering on possessive or flirtatious despite their antagonism. Lumine’s shock at his proximity and his seemingly personal interest in her mission deepened the moment, making it an unforgettable one for ScaraLumi shippers and adding fuel to the "Enemies to Lovers" dynamic that fans adore.
Fans were thrilled by the intense, tension-filled moment when Scaramouche and Lumine shared a private, telepathic conversation without Paimon present. At this point in the story, they're still very much enemies, and Lumine’s reaction—a look of shock when she realizes Scaramouche is standing so close—heightened the suspense. Fans loved how the surprise and tension in Lumine's expression highlighted the adversarial yet charged nature of their relationship, fueling excitement and sparking interpretations of deeper chemistry between the two. The absence of Paimon, leaving just the two of them in this unexpected, close encounter, added to the moment's allure, making it a standout scene for ScaraLumi fans.
Version 3.3
ScaraLumi has become a favorite among fans due to the intriguing and complex relationship they share. In the Interlude Chapter: Inversion of Genesis, Scaramouche displays a somewhat flirtatious attitude towards Lumine, which has led fans to interpret their dynamic in various ways. Despite initially being enemies, Scaramouche begins to consider Lumine as a possible friend—a notion that surprised many, given their contentious history. This evolving dynamic has led many fans to view ScaraLumi as a semi-canon “Enemies with Mutual Attraction” pairing, or part of the popular “Enemies to Friends to Lovers” trope. Some even see it as a “One-Sided Enemies to Lovers” scenario.
In the "One-Sided Enemies to Lovers" interpretation, one character harbors jealousy or resentment, sometimes trying to humiliate or insult the other out of envy. In this case, Scaramouche might be seen as the one holding a grudge, perhaps resenting Lumine’s strength or abilities. However, Lumine, being oblivious to this hostility, instead views him as a friend or companion. Fans find this dynamic fascinating, as it explores the nuances of Scaramouche's complex personality—caught between his harsh exterior and his hidden admiration for Lumine.
Adding to the charm of this ship, fans humorously point out how Paimon often feels like the “third wheel” when Scaramouche and Lumine share telepathic conversations while holding hands. These moments, although subtle, hint at a deeper connection between the two, further fueling the imaginations of shippers.
One of the most significant moments that strengthens the ScaraLumi bond is when Scaramouche wipes himself from Irminsul, erasing all traces of his existence from the memories of others—except Lumine. She is the only one left who remembers him, and many shippers view this as a powerful symbol of the unique and special bond they share. This idea of Lumine being the sole keeper of Scaramouche's true identity adds a layer of intimacy to their relationship, as they both become record-keepers of events that no one else remembers. Fan artists have beautifully captured this moment, often depicting Lumine and Scaramouche together, alone in their shared memories, example being visible to the right. Another pivotal moment that shippers adore is when Wanderer, having regained his memories, asks Lumine to give him a new name. This request holds significant meaning, especially considering Wanderer’s turbulent past and his struggles with identity. Shippers interpret this as an especially sacred and intimate gesture, as it symbolizes a new chapter for Wanderer—a fresh start that Lumine helps him create. Given that his creator never gave him a name, Wanderer’s trust in Lumine to name him carries immense emotional weight. This scene has become a key highlight for fans, cementing their bond as something truly special.
Sharing the same name or a similar name with someone carries a deep, symbolic meaning, especially in the context of relationships. In many cultures and narratives, a name represents identity, connection, and even destiny. When two individuals share the same or a similar name, it often signifies a bond that goes beyond the ordinary—it reflects unity, closeness, and a shared sense of purpose. In the context of Wanderer asking to share the same name as Lumine, this moment takes on a profound meaning. For Wanderer, who struggled with a sense of identity and abandonment after not being given a name by his creator, asking Lumine to give him a name is a way of seeking belonging and validation. By expressing his approval of sharing her name, Wanderer is essentially aligning himself with Lumine, showing that he values her enough to mirror her identity. This shared name becomes a symbol of mutual respect and trust, indicating that Wanderer no longer sees himself as alone or disconnected but as someone who has found a place with Lumine.
In romantic and symbolic terms, sharing a name is often associated with a deep emotional connection—much like how married couples sometimes take each other’s surnames to reflect their union. In the case of ScaraLumi, shippers see Wanderer’s acceptance of sharing Lumine’s name as a sign of their deepening bond, almost as if it’s a form of unspoken partnership or intimacy. Fans have humorously taken this a step further, likening it to the way couples might signal their commitment to one another by taking on the same name, playfully imagining Scaramouche and Lumine as a "married couple" for this reason. This idea of shared names also ties into themes of trust, acceptance, and transformation. For Wanderer, who has been through countless struggles, being given a new name by Lumine represents a fresh start, and sharing her name signifies a desire to be connected to her in a meaningful way. It’s a sign of their growing closeness, showing how far their relationship has developed from enemies to something far more significant, where they share not only experiences but also a part of their identity. To make things even sweeter, Wanderer reacts positively to the idea of sharing the same name as the Traveler (Lumine). This moment, filled with subtle affection, has sparked playful jokes within the fandom, with many fans humorously declaring them as a “married couple” for sharing a name. It’s these small but meaningful interactions that make ScaraLumi such an engaging and beloved ship, as fans enjoy dissecting the deeper emotions behind Wanderer’s often guarded exterior and Lumine’s quiet influence over him.
In conclusion, ScaraLumi thrives on the tension between hostility and hidden attraction, the delicate interplay of resentment and affection. Whether viewed through the lens of “Enemies to Friends to Lovers” or “One-Sided Enemies to Lovers,” the ship has continued to gain popularity because of the rich storytelling and character development. Each moment between Scaramouche and Lumine—whether in battle, in conversation, or in the intimate exchange of names—adds another layer to their evolving relationship, making them a ship worth celebrating in the fandom.
Version 3.6
In the Interdarshan Championship, we see Lumine and Wanderer meet again for the first time since the intense events of the Sumeru Interlude Quest: Inversion of Genesis. This reunion is significant for shippers, as it shows that their relationship has evolved beyond the strict “Enemies” dynamic that defined their earlier interactions. While there are still moments of tension and occasional sharp exchanges, the hostility between them has noticeably softened.
The fact that Lumine and Wanderer are no longer completely at odds adds a new layer of complexity to their relationship. They now appear to have an understanding, or at least a mutual respect, even if there are lingering hints of their past conflicts. For fans of the ScaraLumi ship, this progression is a major appeal—seeing their relationship move from bitter enmity to something more cooperative, and potentially affectionate.
The evolution of their dynamic in the Interdarshan Championship reflects the “Enemies to Lovers” trope that shippers adore, with the pair moving into a new phase where tension remains but the hostility has been tempered. It opens the door for further development, as Wanderer and Lumine interact in a more level-headed and nuanced way. This ongoing shift in their relationship keeps fans eager for more moments between them, as they continue to grow and work together in future quests.
Version 4.8
In Simulanka, Wanderer's relationship with Lumine has captured the hearts of many fans, particularly shippers, due to his intriguing behavior and memorable moments with her. A key scene that stands out involves Wanderer saving Lumine from falling — not once, but twice. Both times, he catches her and carries her to safety. This act of heroism, combined with Wanderer’s typically aloof demeanor, strikes a balance between his snarky, tough exterior and his unexpected moments of care, which fans find irresistibly sweet.
What truly caught the attention of the fandom was a line Wanderer delivers when Lumine wakes up in his arms. With a smirk, he says, “Morning, sunshine. You were having a nice little dream there, weren’t you? Not gonna lie, it was kind of adorable.” This line, dripping with flirtatious undertones, sent shippers into a frenzy. It’s a rare, playful side of Wanderer that contrasts with his usual sarcasm, making this moment all the more impactful. His teasing attitude, combined with his willingness to save Lumine, has made their dynamic deeply appealing to fans who love the balance between his snark and his softer actions.
The fans interpreted Scaramouche's decision to place Lumine on Nilou's lap instead of the ground as a caring gesture. They believe he wanted to ensure Lumine's comfort, suggesting that he views her well-being as important, which further fuels their love for the pairing.
Another moment that fueled the popularity of Wanderer's character is his interaction with Mini Durin. At one point, Durin asks Wanderer if he will join him, to which Wanderer replies with his usual annoyance, asking why he would do that. Durin, with childlike innocence, reminds Wanderer that he had said he wanted to be friends. Though Wanderer initially brushes this off and expresses frustration, saying he might have spoken too soon, it’s Lumine’s subtle but meaningful influence that changes his mind. When she gives him a 'disapproving look,' Wanderer finally relents and agrees to join Durin. Chinese fans, in particular, found this scene incredibly endearing and have even playfully labeled it as “strict wife control,” humorously alluding to how Wanderer is 'kept in check' by Lumine’s influence. This moment reflects the deeper bond between the two, where despite his stubbornness, Wanderer is shown to be swayed by Lumine’s silent authority and caring nature.
Overall, these moments not only highlight Wanderer’s complexity—his mix of sarcasm, care, and grudging cooperation—but also deepen the connection between him and Lumine. His actions, though sometimes veiled in snark, reveal a character who is more invested in his companions than he lets on. This makes him a perfect subject for shipping, and a favorite among fans who appreciate both his sharp wit and his reluctant heroism.
In Appendix - Afterword, the fans continued discussing the dialogue options between the Dialogue 1: Wanderer... [or any name the Traveler's gave to him] and Dialogue 2: Are you worried about Durin?, some people had a moment of realization. They recalled how, in the presence of others, the Wanderer is referred to as "Hat Guy," highlighting the distance between him and those around him. However, in the intimate moments shared with Lumine, she calls him by the special name she gave him, signifying their unique bond. This contrast struck them both, revealing how the name carries deeper meaning when it's just the two of them. It represents trust and a connection that transcends his public persona, making it a cherished secret between them. The acknowledgment of this intimate detail added an emotional layer to their shipping, as they recognized how Lumine's use of the name illustrates her understanding of Wanderer on a more personal level. It’s a sweet reminder of their growing closeness, showing that, even when the world knows him as "Hat Guy," he has a different identity with Lumine—one filled with warmth and affection.
Version 5.1
Fans have expressed their love for the relationship between Lumine and Wanderer through heartfelt comments. One fan highlights how Lumine consistently checks in on Wanderer, especially during moments when he prefers solitude. For instance, on his birthday, she dedicated time to read with him and later suggested a walk, showcasing her understanding and care. During the festival, she actively sought him out to see how he was doing, demonstrating her commitment to their bond.
Another fan points out a revealing line from Wanderer: "Do I strike you as someone who wants to hold hands and dance with everyone?" This line sparked discussions among fans, who playfully called him a liar. They argue that he is, in fact, the type to hold hands — but only with Lumine (on his birthday line), emphasizing the uniqueness of their connection and his willingness to share intimate moments with her.
Other
Following the release of Wanderer's character teaser, titled "Wanderer: Ashes," fans quickly began to draw parallels between him and Lumine, envisioning them as the Soldier and the Ballerina from Hans Christian Andersen's tragic love story, The Steadfast Tin Soldier. This connection resonates deeply with shippers, reflecting a beautifully poignant narrative that mirrors their evolving relationship.
In The Steadfast Tin Soldier, the titular soldier develops a profound crush on the ballerina, believing that she, too, has a single leg like him. This connection serves as a powerful metaphor for Wanderer and Lumine, highlighting their shared struggles and unique perspectives. Wanderer, who grapples with his identity and past, finds solace in Lumine, who embodies resilience and grace. The imagery of the soldier's admiration for the ballerina beautifully reflects Wanderer's complex feelings toward Lumine, showcasing how they find understanding and companionship in one another.
A particularly poignant parallel can be drawn from a key moment in The Steadfast Tin Soldier. In the original tale, the soldier, despite being thrown into the fire, keeps his eyes on the ballerina, symbolizing his unwavering love and devotion even in the face of destruction. This theme of sacrifice and protection echoes in Wanderer’s actions during a critical moment in the story. When Lumine is about to be attacked while defending him, Wanderer instinctively realizes the danger she faces and jumps in to save her. The scene is intensified by the smoke and chaos surrounding them, reminiscent of the flames in the soldier's story ( this is from the Interlude Chapter: Inversion of Genesis ). This act of saving Lumine not only reflects his growing feelings for her but also underscores his transformation from a self-serving character to one willing to protect and cherish someone else.
Fans were particularly excited to notice a striking design element in the Ballerina’s outfit featured in the teaser: the pattern on her chest closely resembles the unique design found on Lumine's boots. This detail is not merely a coincidence; it serves as a visual connection between the two characters and reinforces the idea of their intertwined fates. The design is exclusive to Lumine, making it a special hallmark of her character and enhancing the notion that she and Wanderer are destined to be linked both narratively and aesthetically. If you want to see more about their similarities you can view this post.
Overall, the thematic elements drawn from The Steadfast Tin Soldier add depth to the ScaraLumi ship, enriching the story with layers of tragedy, devotion, and the potential for redemption. As fans continue to explore this connection, the imagery of the Soldier and Ballerina serves as a powerful reminder of the beauty and complexity of their relationship, elevating Wanderer and Lumine to a mythic status within the fandom. This tragic love story encapsulates their struggles and hopes, making ScaraLumi a pairing filled with emotional resonance and potential for growth.
Some shippers often refer to Scaramouche by the name Kunikuzushi, which holds special significance as it is the name he gave himself in canon. This name, meaning “Country Destroyer,” reflects his past and the emotional weight he carries due to his origins and experiences. By using Kunikuzushi instead of Scaramouche or Wanderer, shippers emphasize his personal journey, his struggles with identity, and the complexity of his character. Some other ScaraLumi fans, using Kunikuzushi in their depictions adds depth to the ship, acknowledging the emotional and tragic aspects of his past, and how that past impacts his evolving relationship with Lumine. The use of this name also makes their interactions feel more intimate, as it recalls a version of him that is tied to his vulnerable side, something he doesn't often show to others. This further enriches the appeal of their dynamic, especially within the “Enemies to Lovers” narrative, as it highlights the layers of his character that Lumine might come to understand and connect with over time.
For the fans, the relationship between Wanderer (Scaramouche) and Lumine is incredibly intimate, but in a very unique and unexpected way. Lumine has witnessed almost every part of the Wanderer's life — from his abandonment as a puppet, to his time as a wandering, eccentric figure, to his role as a nihilistic Harbinger, and even to his current state as a simple drifter. She has seen the memories of nearly all of that. What makes it even more fascinating is that Lumine has met all of his different sides — the outward masks he wears, his festering negativity, his sorrow, his fury, and the deep emptiness beneath it all. She's seen him at his worst, but she's also seen him grow and change. And the surprising thing is, the Wanderer seems okay with all of it. There's no sign of embarrassment, anger, or discomfort. In fact, he even asked Lumine to name him, which suggests that he might actually encourage her to understand him on such a deep level. This dynamic has left many fans puzzled and intrigued. Some wonder if their relationship is a classic "Enemies to Lovers" story, especially considering their past, while others speculate that Wanderer might be in a "tsundere" phase, where he’s tough on the outside but secretly cares. The big question for fans is whether Lumine is aware of how deeply the Wanderer feels for her or if she’s just focused on helping him. For fans of the ScaraLumi ship, this dynamic is one of the most compelling aspects. It's a relationship built on mutual understanding, shared history, and personal growth, even if it’s not always obvious on the surface.
The fans have found new meaning in Wanderer's ability to fly. His flight, achieved through his Anemo Vision, came only after he let go of his painful past and embraced a new life. Symbolically, his flight represents a kind of enlightenment, a release from worldly troubles that mirrors Zen Buddhist philosophy. For Wanderer, learning to fly was a hard-won transformation. Lumine, on the other hand, could once fly naturally, but now she’s grounded, bound by the troubles and challenges of the world. In a way, Wanderer and Lumine’s positions have reversed. While he has found freedom, she has lost hers, highlighting a bittersweet irony in their relationship. What touches fans most is that, on Lumine’s birthday, Wanderer chooses to share his newfound gift of flight with her, giving her a glimpse of what she once had. Surprisingly, he doesn’t mock or tease her; instead, he quietly shares something meaningful. Fans see this moment as a rare, tender gesture from Wanderer, a side of him he might reserve only for her. It’s a powerful symbol of how far he's come—and how much he understands her.
In the world of Genshin Impact, there are multiple “versions” of both Scaramouche and Lumine, each representing different aspects of their characters throughout the story. This diversity opens up a wealth of storytelling possibilities for shippers, allowing them to explore various dynamics within the ScaraLumi pairing.
Versions of Scaramouche:
- Kabukimono: This is Scaramouche’s persona prior to his third betrayal. As Kabukimono, he exhibits a more playful and innocent demeanor, which contrasts sharply with his later, darker traits. Fans enjoy exploring the potential for a sweet, naive relationship between him and Lumine during this time.
- Scaramouche: In this version, he is still an antagonist but has not yet undergone the transformation seen in the Sumeru Interlude Quest. His interactions with Lumine are often marked by conflict and tension, creating a classic “enemies to lovers” dynamic that many shippers find appealing.
- Amnesiac Wanderer: During the Sumeru Interlude Quest, Scaramouche loses his memories and adopts the identity of the Wanderer. This amnesiac version allows for a fresh start in his relationship with Lumine, as he learns about himself and his past while growing closer to her. The sense of rediscovery in this dynamic is particularly enticing for fans.
- Wanderer: After regaining his memories, he takes on the name Wanderer. In this version, his character has evolved significantly, showing more depth and vulnerability. The shippers often focus on his protective instincts and the blossoming romance with Lumine, as he grapples with his identity and the choices he has made.
Versions of Lumine:
- Lumine (Traveler): As the main character of the story, Lumine embodies resilience and determination. Her interactions with Scaramouche and Wanderer are marked by a sense of agency, allowing for a range of emotional dynamics, from conflict to camaraderie and romance.
- Abyss Lumine: This version presents Lumine as the Abyss Princess, exploring darker themes and a more complex character arc. The Abyss Lumine persona adds layers of intrigue to her relationship with Scaramouche and Wanderer, as it allows for exploration of themes such as redemption and acceptance.
Pairing Combinations:
Given these multiple versions, shippers enjoy mixing and matching them to create unique narratives. Some popular combinations include:
- Scaramouche/Lumine: This pairing often emphasizes the tension and complexity of their dynamic as enemies who may have feelings for one another.
- Wanderer/Lumine: This version explores a more tender and protective relationship after Wanderer has undergone significant character growth.
- Abyss Lumine/Kabukimono: This pairing creates an intriguing contrast between Lumine's darker side and Kabukimono's innocence, highlighting themes of redemption and the power of love to change someone.
- Abyss Lumine/Scaramouche: This dynamic allows for exploration of the darker aspects of both characters, creating a complex relationship filled with angst and emotional depth.
Overall, the versatility of these versions enhances the appeal of the ScaraLumi ship, as fans can engage with various interpretations and narratives, creating rich storytelling experiences that reflect the complexities of love, identity, and redemption.
Haha, it's interesting to see you scrambling around to find something."

— Wanderer to Lumine (description for the official art)
Shippers were once again pleasantly surprised when the Wanderer presented a Sumeru Rose to Lumine. A purple rose, which symbolizes romance, love, and admiration, sparked intrigue among fans. Many began to wonder why he found it noteworthy to gift her a flower while she was struggling to find something, leading to speculation about how long he had been quietly observing her. This gesture not only showcases Wanderer’s growing affection but also adds a layer of mystery to their relationship, inviting fans to delve into the nuances of his character.
In addition to the Sumeru Rose, the Wanderer's Birthday Mail for 2024 revealed that he sent Lumine three Padisarahs and three Nilotpala Lotuses. According to fans, the combination of these six flowers forms a beautiful bouquet, further symbolizing the romantic bond between the Wanderer and Lumine. The Nilotpala Lotus, in particular, carries deep symbolic significance. The description[1] notes that "these plants only bloom at night with flowers as bright as the moon." This connection to moonlight is especially poignant, as Lumine's symbolism is the moon. Fans have eagerly pointed out the striking similarity between the Nilotpala Lotus's colors and Lumine's own hair and eyes, reinforcing the idea that the flowers are not just a gift but a representation of their bond. The phrase about the "great chariot of the moon goddess" shining with a light that matched the sun adds yet another layer to their relationship. It evokes imagery of celestial harmony and suggests that Lumine and Wanderer share a unique connection, as if their destinies are intertwined. The moon and sun often represent contrasting yet complementary forces, much like the personalities of Wanderer and Lumine, further enriching the themes of love and admiration that the flowers convey.
Overall, these gestures—the Sumeru Rose and the carefully chosen bouquet—serve to deepen the emotional resonance of the ScaraLumi ship. They highlight the affection and admiration growing between the two characters while inviting fans to explore the rich symbolism and storytelling potential within their relationship. As shippers continue to dissect these elements, the connection between Wanderer and Lumine becomes increasingly vibrant and multifaceted, filled with romance and meaning.
Some fans have noticed that Xiangling's design and color palette match well with Lumine and Scaramouche. Her color closely resembles Scaramouche's, while her eyes are similar to Lumine's. When Freminet was released in the game, fans also observed that his color palette aligns with Scaramouche's, with his hair color resembling Lumine's. This led fans to jokingly portray them as a family. Additionally, they included Sara, Candace, and Layla, as they also seem to fit into the "ScaraLumi family" due to their similar color palettes.
