Monkey D. Luffy is the main character of One Piece.
Canon
Luffy is the Captain of the Straw Hat Pirates with the lofty goal of becoming the Pirate King and obtaining the legendary treasure known as the "One Piece." Having eaten the "Gum-Gum Fruit," his body is made of rubber and is capable of stretching, inflating, and a number of other things. Ceaselessly goofy and happy-go-lucky, what he lacks in brains he more than makes up for in the uncanny ability to make friends wherever he goes.
