Lucy Westenra is a character from Bram Stoker's 1897 novel Dracula. She has also appeared in the majority of the adaptations.

Canon

Lucy is Dracula's first English victim in the original novel, returning as a vampire who carried out a number of attacks on children. In some adaptations, her character is written very closely to the original portrayal, but there have also been numerous changes to her character and storyline in adaptations over the years.

Shipping

Lucy Westenra's most popular ship in transformative works in recent decades is the femslash ship, Mina Harker/Lucy Westenra. This may have been popularised in some degree by the 2013 film, 'Dracula', where Katie McGrath played Lucy, and the character was written as a lesbian in love with her best friend, Mina.

Other ships for Lucy include the canonical duaric Arthur Holmwood/Lucy Westenra and of Dracula/Lucy Westenra, which also had canonical basis in some adaptations. She is also shipped with her other suitors, Quincey Morris and Jack Seward, or sometimes all three of them in Lucy/Arthur/Quincey/Jack policule.
