Editorial

From the editorial:

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away ...

It was there that I stumbled upon them: this strangling, sorry little bunch of would-be writers and artists, lost and disoriented with only a two-litre bottle of cider and a bag of jelly parrots to keep them going. They had no idea how to function as individuals. They couldn't even navigate their own vessel! They just sat there, wittering and scribbling - the Pakleds of the Great Continuum of Artistic Creation. But I soon put a stop to that. I gave them their sense of purpose, and they gave me mine. They also gave me one giant, positronic headache. Do you know how long it took me to get them to put this zine together? The excuses they kept coming up with!!

“My computer's broken. My pen won’t work. My brain hurts.”

And my personal all-time favourite, “No, Lore, please, not the whip!” To which I’d invariably reply, “Hey ... no pain, no gain. Now bend over.” Ooh, I’m a hard taskmaster. But hasn't it been worth it? For now you hold the fruits of my ... er ... our ... labours in the palm of your hot little hand. A zine dedicated entirely to me! Wait’ll I show my wussy li’l brother. And if you write and tell me how much you really, really liked it, who knows? Maybe I’ll come and thank you in person. [Whips optional for first-time buyers - the rest of you know who you are!]

Reactions and Reviews

[Decent]: A decent parody on that godawful two-parter of which shall not be named. [2]
