Within MCYT fandoms, especially the Dream SMP, lore means roleplay and storytelling that the creators add to their content. It can mean dedicated, story-focused videos (the colloquial "lore stream"), or pieces of story included in goofier videos. For example, in Hermitcraft, the creators rarely create videos that are entirely "lore," but often include pieces of story throughout their videos. On the other hand, the Dream SMP creators would go so far as to label whether their streams were "lore" or not, as a response to the fandom's use of the term.
