Header
Synopsis: An unexpected death begins a terrible journey for Dana Scully and Fox Mulder, one that threatens to tear their faith, their beliefs and their partnership apart.Spoilers: Season Five up to “Emily."
Possible Triggers: The cold open is a pretty brutal murder scene description. Other than that, none that we’re aware of.
Reactions and Reviews
We feel that the XF mytharc could have taken some very dramatic turns over the course of the show. And given that William Scully, Sr., was a Navy captain, there could have been some seriously intriguing twists and turns that could have taken place that incorporated not only the Mulders, but the Scullys, as well, into the Syndicate’s overarching plans for the planet.Today’s rec starts off with one helluva cold open, and then refuses to let up until the very end of the fic, taking long-forgotten plot threads and weaving them into an intricate story that folds the past into the present in a way we couldn’t have fathomed in our wildest dreams.
Today’s casefile is a buckle up and buckle in wild ride, Philes, and we hope you love it as much as we did.[1]
