Lionheart Fan Club was a Beauty and the Beast (TV) fan club run by Beth Blighton.
It was created "for the enjoyment of Vincent fans."
While it sold a 1994 Lionheart calendar and club t-shirts, its main function was publishing the quarterly newsletter, Lionheart.
This fan club also issued The Lionheart Questionnaire. See A Meeting of Minds: The Results of Our 1994 Lionheart Survey.
Changes in Activities
From Lionheart #9 (February 1994):
Due to the decrease in membership (and therefore, the decrease in capital as well), we've been forced to make some changes. In these decisions, our reader input has proven to be invaluable. There was nearly unanimous agreement (among our readership who responded), that the elimination of our Lionheart membership cards and certificates would be acceptable. And so the decision to go without them was made. The question of the 8x10 color photo proved to be another conundrum that our readers helped solve. While we feel that the print of Vincent is something that sets Lionheart apart, we also had to face the fact that with our present numbers it would be extremely cost-prohibitive. And though there were a number of respondents who felt we could forego the color print altogether, we felt the suggestion made by one of our subscribers to simply substitute a black and white piece instead was the best solution for all involved. We hope we have not disappointed anyone with these decisions.
