Link Click or Shíguāng Dàilǐrén (时光代理人) is a donghua that first released in 2021. Season one has 12 episodes, including a bonus episode numbered 5.5. It was first available to stream via Bilibili and Funimation (now Crunchyroll).[1]

A Japanese dub was announced for January of 2022.[2] The final episode of this dub was shortened from its original runtime of 31 minutes, cutting some of the story to fit within the standard anime time slot of 24 minutes.

In November of 2021, it was announced that Link Click would be getting a second season, which aired in 2023 alongside several chibi specials.

Premise

The two main characters, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang, run a photo studio together with Cheng Xiaoshi's childhood friend Qiao Ling, who is also their landlord. Besides developing photos, they also run a sort of detective agency using their supernatural powers: Lu Guang has the ability to look at any photo and see the photographer's life for 24 hours after taking the photo, and Cheng Xiaoshi has the ability to enter a photo and become the photographer for 24 hours after they took the photo, thereby going back in time and reliving (and potentially changing) their past.

When clients come to the photo studio with a photo of a moment in time they want investigated, Lu Guang first looks into the photo to see what happened, after which Cheng Xiaoshi enters the photo to investigate further. Lu Guang is then able to telepathically guide Cheng Xiaoshi through the past and tell him what to do in order to solve their case without changing the past.

Shipping

With a relatively small cast of characters, the main ship within the fandom is that of the two main characters, Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang. As of June of 2024, this ship has 1276 fanfics on AO3, with the second most popular non-platonic ship appearing only 32 times.[3]
