Limetown is a horror podcast series created by Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie. It focuses on Lia Haddock, a reporter investigating the mysterious disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility and experimental town in Tennessee.
Canon
The podcast has run for 2 seasons so far, and the podcast remains the basis of canon for many fans. It was adapted into a TV show by Facebook Watch starring Jessica Beal in 2020, but was cancelled after one season. Additionally, a novelization exists by the same creators. In the novel, Lia Haddock is revealed to be a lesbian. The canon is notable for the use of suspense, conspiracy theory tropes, and psychological horror.
Fandom
The first season was received to wide acclaim, with the cliffhanger finale regarded positively by many fans. However, the second season was considered less successful overall.
