Summary

Okay, you expect a good story from Dovya Blacque, but this story was wonderful even for this writer--taking us all on a roller-coaster ride of unexpected twists and turns. It begins with Kirk receiving notice from his nephew, Peter, that his mother has died, and then evolves, slowly and believably, into a gentle love story, with a subplot regarding the fate of an unknown alien couple. Typical of this writer, Kirk and Spock (and McCoy) were all perfectly drawn, and the love story, although not explicit, was poetic and sensual. [1]
