Leonard Nimoy Compendium is a zine of credits, playbills, synopses, reviews, articles, etc. on Leonard Nimoy's non-Star Trek appearances on stage, film, and television. It also contains fiction, poems, art, and cartoons.
There are two volumes. While a third volume was planned, it was never issued.
A Note from the Co-Editor
From Liz Bowling, the co-editor of the first issue:
Were it not for the fact that I attended the premiere of VINCENT, I might never have met Karen Rourk. I did not know her that night, but remember seeing her after the show on the other side of the theater, doing what I was doing... trying to find discarded programs! She and I both remember glaring at one another, each thinking that the other was getting "our” programs, I did not meet, Karen, however, until late June of that year. When we met, it was as if we had know each other all of our lives, Karen and I shared every scrap of material about Leonard Nimoy that either of us had, as we still do today.Karen has been doing the research for this Journal for 16 years! SHE has done ALL the work, the hours at libraries and the many letters,
phone calls, AND the typing. Why my name appears as Co-Editor is as much of a mystery to me as it might be to you. It is her gift to me, for which I am truly grateful, and will probably spend a lifetime trying to repay her for the honor. Karen, for those of you who know her, is quiet though she is very STUBBORN. My contribution to this Journal is only the "nagging force that has "tied her to the chair" to get beyond her procrastination, and to get this tremendous piece of research into a finished product, one, with which I have to admit, she is STILL not satisfied.
About
From the editorial in the first issue:
THE LEONARD NIMOY COMPENDIUM began as a sort of hobby and ended up as a publication. As for the detail in THE COMPENDIUM, the cast and credits for motion pictures and stage, some may feel it is unnecessary or carrying detail a little too far. The reason is: this is a tribute to Mr, Leonard Nimoy, his career and to his wife Mrs. Sandi Zober Nimoy (without whom there might not have been a "career"), so the "detail" was included for remembering and crediting the many too often unnamed people who worked with and assisted Mr, Nimoy in his career, and most especially, as a memento for Mr. and Mrs. Nimoy.
We have published 300 copies of which we believe 299 are complimentary copies! There are a few people we are looking for to give them their copies though. They are DEE GURNETT, ANN SNELL and EVELYN TURNER. If anyone knows of their whereabouts please let them know they have copies being held for them.
Issue 1

It covers the extensive non-Star Trek dramatic stage, screen, and TV acting/directing credits of Mr. Nimoy. Reactions and Reviews: Issue 2
Being a Leonard Nimoy fan as well as a Mr. Spock fan, I was anxious to read this fanzine cataloging his career. What I found was truly a well-researched, incredibly complete collection detailing his career achievements from the very beginning with his very first acting job to his present day roles. This very thick publication is filled with dates, places, pictures, reviews and more! Even being an avid Nimoy fan, I found out more by reading this collection than I ever thought was possible. You can see that a lot of time, work and effort went into the compendium and I felt I received more than my moneys worth from it. The pictures alone are worth it. I used to belong to the Leonard Nimoy fan club and we would receive annuals filled with pictures and stories and I really enjoyed the care with which these were done. I am pleased to say that this compendium outshines even the annuals. A real must for any Nimoy fan and well worth the money spent. [1]
