Larrkin began fandom in the late 1990s illustrating for Sentinel. In the early 2000s, she began writing and illustrating for Lord of the Rings slash fanzines. Her cover for Extra Touchy Frisky #9 won her a 2000 Stiffie Award. Her artwork in Vilya #2 won her a 2005 Sizzler Award.
