Almost missed this one because I wasn't inclined to read about anything that might clutter up my K/S.Turns out I'd have missed some elemental K/S: Kirk's beautiful confession to Amanda of his deep love for her son. It's while Sarek recovers in sickbay during the Journey to Babel and takes up only 2 pages. But what a charm! When Amanda seeks straight out to confirm they are lovers, Kirk replies "More than that. We are bonded, Amanda". Her warm acceptance is a very nice close to the piece. [1]
