Kung-Fusion is a Star Trek: TOS and martial arts zine that also contains some general sf.
It consists of poetry, short stories, articles, humor, art, and reviews.
Issue 1
Kung-Fusion 1 was published in May 1974 and contains 30 pages.
The art is by Robert Beckley and Gary Delatte.
It is dedicated to Bruce Lee and the memory of Gene L. Coon.
There was a second printing of this zine in October 1974. It is identical to the first except for an added editorial
From "The Last Word":
The main purpose of this was, let's be frank, for egoboo. There's something about seeing your own words or art in print that really gets to your heard. However, we weren't content to put out just another Star Trek 'zine. We wanted something different. We wanted to fill the void existing in fannish publications for martial arts fans while also presenting a variety of articles and material on SF, fantasy, and, of course, Star Trek. I hope you enjoy the 'zine as much as I enjoyed helping get it out. It's been work, but don't think it isn't fun.
