kinkelot was a monthly kink-themed challenge community for BBC's Merlin. The challenges are broken into kink themes. A theme is posted on the 1st of the month and ends on the last day of the month. There are specific posts reiterating the rules, announcing the theme of the challenge (and specific clarification of that kink), and the cut-off date for posting for the challenge. Once all the entries have been posted there is a master post linking that month's kink theme participants.

Themes have included: anonymity, bladeplay, costumes, dirty talk, hands, restraints, spanking, tentacles, waxplay, rimming/felching.

Examples

• Backdrifts was written for the anonymity challenge. In this story Merlin doesn't know that he is sleeping with Arthur who uses a magical potion to disguise himself.
