Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous is an American animated TV series created by Zack Stentz and distributed by Netflix. It follows a group of teenagers stranded on Isla Nublar, site of Jurassic Park. A sequel series, Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, started airing in May 2024.

Camp Cretaceous is set around the time of the film, Jurassic World, following a group of teenagers who are invited to visit Camp Cretaceous, a dinosaur-themed adventure camp. While they are on camp, the dinosaurs escape and the campers get left behind accidentally to fend for themselves and get off of the island.

- Found Family - With the majority of the full series run focusing on the six teenagers, who had to learn to trust and rely on one another to survive and solve disputes and uncovered secrets along the way, strong bonds were formed between the characters within the show. This is commonly explored further through the trope of found family in fanworks.
- Angst - There were a notable number of angst-provoking storylines and moments in Camp Cretaceous. For example, Ben falls from a monorail and is presumed dead for numerous episodes, which Darius blames himself for; and Sammy is hit with poisonous quills when the Scorpio (a laboratory created hybrid dinosaur) attacks her, nearly dying before Yaz manages to get the antidote in time. Explorations of the angst around these kinds of canonical events, those which would be experienced by the families of the teens who for many months thought they were dead, or new angsty situations are common in the fandom.
