Joey Wheeler/Seto Kaiba, also known by the names Puppyshipping and Violetshipping, is the pairing of the characters Joey Wheeler and Seto Kaiba from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. It is one of the series most popular pairings, with over Two thousand fanfics on Archiveofourown.

The nickname Puppyshipping, like most of the Pairing Names for Yu-Gi-Oh ships, comes from an element from the series: Joey's association with dogs throughout the show, most memorably a scene from Duelist Kingdom where he dreams about Kaiba calling him names while wearing a dog costume, and various dog-related nicknames that Kaiba insults him with.
Over the years, Violetshipping started being used as an alternative ship name for them, [2] with it's name being a mix of the colors red and blue, which are associated with them thanks to their signature cards: the "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and the "Red-Eyes Black Dragon". People who prefer this name often criticize Puppyshipping for using insults that were used to dehumanize Joey as something cute. [3]
