Reactions and Reviews

This one is great fun! I love it not only for a magic story, but for a cat story. Not only would Starsky tease Hutch this way, but I've seen cats tease one another unmercifully. And Jean's cat illos are perfect, the angry cat, the smug cat, and the totally satisfied couple. I read this aloud to Fritz on our way home from MediaWestCon, and he loved it, too. He has cats, and knows. [1]

*happy sigh* I adore this story. The idea of the boys as cats is so well put here! [2]
You just got to love this one. It captured the guys as cats to perfection linked it to Voodoo Island. Starsky sneaking up her blouse was so cute.
This one gets reread so often I am wearing the paper thin.[3]

Whenever I'm feeling low and know a story will put a grin on my face and make me feel warm and happy, this is the one I go for. Thanks so much for writing it. It's just so..fuzzy.[4]

Being a long-time cat-lover and long-time S&H lover, I have to say that this is one of the most delightful stories I've yet to read. You perfectly translated The Boys' mannerisms to Cat. I laughed out loud at the persistent attempts of Locks/Lox to aggravate his companion. I could see Hutch's face in those imperious looks of Goldi's. Curled up together and purring at the end--as well they should be. And Huggy was spot on. Loved it! [5]

I am really late writing this review, Suzan, and for that I sincerely apologize. I read this late last year, when I was scrambling my way through SH fandom for the first time. Didn't leave a comment at the time, but always wished I had. Then I couldn't find it again. Anachron was kind enough to post the link in a comment today on the Advent Calendar so I found it again, read it again, LOVED it again. I'm not even a cat person and I could see all the nuances and subtlties you described, perfect for each character. I especially loved 'Locks' dangling his tail in front of Goldi until he got it bitten, then kissed and made all better. This was wonderful. I'll never lose it again, I promise. Thank you for thinking of it and then for writing it so well. [6]

Oh, I surely do love this! Goldi and Locks/Lox are perfectly portrayed in their new circumstances. Such an imaginative "tail." The narrator's voice was "purrfect." Thanks for a most enjoyable read. [7]
