In a word, Frannie. I mean, this is her. Franchesca Vecchio is often dismissed on Due South as simply a girl with a crush the size of Texas on Fraser. BrooklineGirl takes all of the wonderful things that the canon only hints about with Frannie and makes them real. Under her capable hands, Frannie is finally allowed to be a real full character. Frannie has sex with Ray Kowalski and that is just how it would happen if those two ever really decided to get it on. The Frannie/Elaine section is some of the hottest femslash I've ever read, and yet still being adorable and akward. And Frannie gets to finish up this wonderful love fest with Turnbull, who is another character poorly used and abused by the canon, and makes it all so WONDERFUL. Seriously, just read it, because I am not able to ever do this story justice. [1]
