Iron Triangle Exchange was a flash exchange that ran twice. It was run by Gammarad for members of Exchanges After Dark and anyone who stumbled across it from the larger exchange fandom. The first round had 33 participants and produced 47 fanworks; the second round had 27 sign ups and 34 fanworks.

Premise and Structure

Iron Triangle was an exchange with matching only on freeform tags nominated to the tagsets of previous exchanges such as Writing Rainbow, Jump Scare, Consent Issues, and Just Married. The AO3 profile describes the premise and name inspiration as such:

A story exchange with a very short writing period. Fanfiction and AO3 are free. The time given requires participants to be fast. The challenge is to see if they can beat the Iron Triangle and also be good. The conventional wisdom is cheap (or free) - fast - good - pick two. Let's be unconventional.
