The Inkwasters Award was an award for Star Trek fanworks given by members of Austrek.

Austrek gave an award up until late 1987 called Inkwasters. In January 1988, it was abolished:

I also abolished the Inkwasters (Normally given at the Xmas Party) as I felt that it was too difficult to choose any one contributor above the many who offered something to the Log each month. As it happened, SPOCK didn't offer an award that year either.

1986

1986:

The Christmas Party was a PARTY! Inkwasters were Michael Cosaitis for the Log and Robert Jan for SPOCK.

I'd like to congratulate Gail Adams on receiving the SPOCK INKWASTER AWARD, my decision on Gail was made, one — for the great strides she has made in her fan art over the last year, and two — for her readiness and promptness to help out with 'just another drawing' when I needed it the most. Thanks, Gail!
