Inked is a Steve/Danny story by thehoyden.
Summary: Of course Steve is enjoying himself. They're bait for a serial killer who has some sort of serious hangup about tattooing loved ones' names on their skin—of course Steve thinks this is practically like a vacation, but better, because the chances of collateral damage are higher.
The story translated into Russian by Chrissy in 2013[1] and in 2015 themusecalliope made a podfic of the original version.[2]

Second only to undercover in a gay bar, fandom's favorite cop show trope is undercover as a gay couple. thehoyden does a great job with a well-worn trope. A serial killer is targeting gay men with their SO's name tattooed on their person. Danny is the bait and he has Steve's name (temporarily) tattooed on his ass. They go undercover at a gay resort where they catch the killer and discover their love for each other. This story is sweet, sexy, and funny.[3]
There's a serial killer out there, and he's going for people who have the name of their lover tattooed on them somewhere. Of course it's Danny who's leaning over his desk getting Steve's name (temporarily) inked on his ass, because that's just the way these things go. Of course. And of course, they're off to a gay resort to hunt down the killer. It goes about as well as you'd expect. :D So much fun.[4]
Steve seems exactly the type that would be really into “marks of ownership/belonging”. Danny’s understandably leery of promises of forever.[5]
