I see a rather Christian equation of Genesis and Eden in this story. It implies to me that Kirk said he felt "young" at the end of TW0K because in his dream of the spirit of Spock on Genesis, he experienced Eden before the Fall. It could also be that I am reading too much into the story and missing the author's intent. Does the Biblical tradition have a monopoly on the theme of gardens as a place of innocence and renewal? Probably not. [1]
