In One's Own Coin is a 40-page gen Forever Knight novel by Susan M. Garrett. It has the subtitle, "Janette's Interview."
A special edition of this fanzine was released at MediaWest*Con in May of 1997 - there were 10 copies made with special spiral binding and hand-created covers, including gold foiling. One of these limited edition copies was sold at that convention's art show.
Summary from publisher: "A short, disturbing story concerning events that occur in the flashback of 'False Heart' and which occur after the events of the flashback in 'Kind Soul.' It is his right as Archivist to interview Janette and learn her secrets, as well as those of her master, but in doing so, Dorian must question his motivation, his dedication to duty, and his fascination with the loveliest of Lacroix's creations."
