Few in fandom can write angst in such an amazing way. In this fic, we see a hanging-by-a-thread Ray wanting to reconnect with an aloof Fraser. Why is the Mountie so determined to keep an obviously distraught Ray at arms' length? What exactly happened back in Chicago that has left Ray so utterly close to being broken? How was their partnership undone? Nos will make you cry as the story develops and the answers start to fall into place. It's beautifully written and dripping with enough angst to give the story more than a patina of reality. This could very well become one of the classics for dS fandom. [1]
