Immortality Awards were for writers of specs (fanfic) based on books by Anne Rice.
They were held in 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000. They ceased after that, likely due to Anne Rice's crackdown on fanworks.

Acceptance Speeches
"Acceptance Speeches! All first place winners - write an acceptance speech for your award! Please keep your speech to one reasonable sized paragraph. Try to put it in a format that will fit in with the Award Spec (ie, include small 'stage' directions like what you're wearing or if you drop the award, etc...). All speeches will be threaded into the Award Spec before it finds its final home in the spec archive. The Speech posting form is at the end of the page.
