I Wanna Ruin Our Friendship - Let’s Be Lovers Instead is a modern Damerey story written by Aquawolfgirl. It is an early Rey/Poe fic, and has been recced as a Coffee Shop AU.[1] Although this fic is no longer available on Ao3, Aquawolfgirl's original post of chapter one remains on their tumblr blog, and includes this summary:
- Poe and Rey are roommates. She’s a mechanic at a garage nearby, and he’s the coffee shop’s Thursday night entertainment. They live in perfect friendship, in total sync with each other with BB-8 the corgi between them.
- If only everyone else saw it as friendship, too. Or maybe Poe and Rey themselves can learn to see it as something more?
