This collection, along with the sequel I Feel a Filk Coming On, contributes to the popular genre of "filks" wherein writers take a popular tune or showtune and rewrite it with fan-appropriate lyrics. These volumes contain versions of "Gilligan's Island," "The Beverly Hillbillies," and skewer Rod Stewart, Michael Bolton, Meatloaf, and Mister Rogers.
