ICon is an Israeli SF convention. In recent years(?) each convention has a yearly theme. The theme for 2013 is "identity". Previous themes include time, life and death, heroes and villains, leaders and rebels, etc.

Regular features

  • Dealers' room
  • Second-hand books trade-in booth
  • Fan-run lectures and panels
  • Gaming room running tabletop and LARP games
  • Cosplay contest
  • Periodically, and international guest

The yearly prizes for original Hebrew SFF content are awarded at ICon. These are the Geffen prize for novels and the Einat prize for short stories.

There are several organizations which are involved in organizing ICon or regularly have booths at the con. The con itself is a collaboration between the Israeli Society for SF and Fantasy, and the Israeli Role-Playing Association. Fan-run organizations for fandoms such as Tolkien, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Star Trek participate less formally.
