I'm the Girl is a Highlander femmeslash vid by killabeez. It was reviewed on September 25, 2005 by halcyon shift at the reel vidding community. It was originally released on The WOAD Society DVD and was remastered in 2005. It was selected in 2009 for the Vividcon Themed Show: The Bechdel Test. The video also won a Video Elite Award in Feb 2006.
Vidder's summary: "Amanda and friends. Amanda's all things to all people."
Vidder's notes: "This song was a gimme. Of course I love Amanda; of course this was her song. The only difficulty came in when Melina suggested Carmen Sandiego to me when I was about halfway done with this one-and I decided to make it a challenge to myself not to duplicate clips between the two. This decision also prompted me to cut out the repetitions in the chorus, which I think tightens the whole thing up, and in the end, I think there were two shared clips between the two vids. I’m quite pleased with this one, because it says exactly and everything I wanted to say about Amanda. Plus, Amandaslash!"
