Home is a very popular[1] Star Trek: Reboot WIP by Lanaea. It is slow building Kirk/Spock slash, focusing on Spock (2009) coming to terms to with Vulcan's destruction and the death of his mother while being fairly lengthy (~230k words). The story, however has not been updated since August 2009 and most fans assumed that it will not be updated in the foreseen future.
Summary (FF.Net): "A misshap brings the Enterprise back to Earth for a while."[2]

"Simply perfect in every way and one of my favorite reboot fics. Both her Kirk and Spock voices are spot on. This is filled to the brim with UST and very slow building which is the very best. Technically it is a WIP, and she hasn't updated in a long time, but the place where she stopped left me happy and feels like closure, so I kinda consider it finished as is, especially when it doesn't look like she will ever continue it."[3]
"Some shore leave on Earth provides an opportunity for Kirk and Spock to get to know each other better. This story is perfect - the amount of detail, the deliciously slow pace, the gradually unfurling UST. And I ? Kirk's mother. IMO, becomes slightly less awesome once they leave Earth, but YMMV."[4]
Not my first Star Trek 2009 fanfiction, but then I had never watched Star Trek until I went out and watched the movie. I saw one of my favorite author's had listed this fanfiction as a fave so I decided to try it out. Little did I know that it was so addicting that I stayed up unti 6:30 in the morning just to finish reading, and I didn't finish :) This is a very slow moving fanfiction, but it correctly and quite vividly recounts the actions and thoughts of the central characters. Really well written.[5]
As for MUST reads, I say Home by Lanaea (on FFNet - just google it), Atlas by Angelbaby1 (again, FFNet, google it) and Both Ways at Once by Lyricoloratura (ditto). These are the three fics I recall by name, even though I've been out of the fandom for a while. Everyone's going to agree with Home as a rec, but remember - it's a WIP that hasn't been updated in a LONG time, but it is amazing anyway.[6]
Funny. Sweet. Excellent flow. This is one of those T fics where the characterization and storytelling is so delightful that you don't notice the "T" label, despite all the crazy UST. However, I'd label this more of an PG-13/R rather than a T, to be clear. There is inexplicit sexual content.[7]
