Heath Ledger was an Australian actor and director best known in the fannish communities for portraying The Joker in The Dark Knight, Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You, William Thatcher in A Knight's Tale, Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain, Jakob Grimm in The Brothers Grimm, and Connor in Roar.
His death in January 2008 hit a lot of fans especially hard.
