Heath Ledger was an Australian actor and director best known in the fannish communities for portraying The Joker in The Dark Knight, Patrick Verona in 10 Things I Hate About You, William Thatcher in A Knight's Tale, Ennis Del Mar in Brokeback Mountain, Jakob Grimm in The Brothers Grimm, and Connor in Roar.
His death in January 2008 hit a lot of fans especially hard.

Heath was mainly shipped with Jake Gyllenhaal due to their characters being romantically tied in Brokeback Mountain film. Despite being romantically involved with Michelle Williams, there doesn't seem to be any fanfiction between them.
